Anaerobic / Lactic Threshold - This threshold is the point in your endurance activity between a maintainable pace and one that is becoming gradually harder.
- The point where your body starts to produce more lactate (lactic acid) than it is able to use to produce more ATP
- It can be measured in BPM and/or pace.
- There are different ways of finding out your anaerobic/lactic threshold through either field testing or clinical testing.
Specifity - body will adapt to a specific stress that is placed upon it to overcome the load or stress
Overload - Training stress or intensity that is greater than what a Soldier is accustomed to.
Progression - Advancing training loads (volume/time/ intensity/speed) to maintain overload as the body is adapting
Variation - Manipulation of training variables to prepare for a variety tasks and prevent injury
